We understand that starting a new preschool is a big step for both children and families! Our approach focuses on making this transition as smooth and comfortable as possible.

We are experienced in gently introducing children to our routines and engaging them in play, building trust and excitement for their new environment. We’ll also maintain open communication with you, sharing updates about how your child is adjusting. Our goal is to work together with you to foster a positive and confident start to their preschool journey.

Program

What is your curriculum philosophy?

We are a play – based program, but we also draw on emergent and Reggio Emilia philosophies.

Do you provide meals?

We provide two organic and plant-based snacks, one in the morning and another in the afternoon, but we ask that parents pack a lunch.

Do you have 2 or 3 day per week care options?

We believe that the consistency of a 5 day program helps to build peer and caregiver relationships, and we are committed to helping your child transition.

Admission

How old must my child be to start at Wild Sage?

We are able to provide care starting at 2 years old!

Does my child need to be toilet – trained to start your program?

They are not required to be fully toilet – trained, but we encourage you to start training with your child before their first day. We are here to support you and your little one during this transition. We

Safety & Privacy

Is your staff trained in CPR and First Aid?

Absolutely! All staff are trained in CPR and First Aid. 

How do you accommodate food allergies?

With a great deal of care. Each child’s allergies and dietary restrictions is accessible for staff review in Brightwheel. However, we are not a nut-free facility.

How do parents receive information?

We use the Brightwheel app to help families stay connected throughout the day. You’ll receive photos as well as meal, nap – time and toileting updates. You can also message us directly through the app.

What is your immunization policy?

Like all licensed childcare programs in California, we may not enroll children who are behind on their vaccine schedule.
